the brief

Pilates people are a boutique fitness & pilates studio providing in-house classes, personal training and online virtual classes with an on-demand video library.

The client approached us wanting a total overhaul of their current website to tie in with the move of their fitness studio to a new premises and to create a more user friendly website making it easier for customers to book classes and use their virtual studio and on-demand video library.

The main focus was to automate the website, subscriptions and memberships enabling the website to run its self with very minimal input from the client and create an amazing user experience ensuring people kept coming back and using the website regularly.

Our Approach

Wire framing & UX design

The first step was to create a wireframe of the website layout, main features while focusing on the on-demand video library and members section making sure it had a smooth user flow and would be easy for the end user to navigate.

Now it was time to bring the clients vision to life, during the wire framing stage we had discussed potential obstacles that may arise with creating a huge video library and self hosting videos, we looked at various options and decided to use a SaSS solution that was created specifically for gym and studio owners who wanted to have class bookings, subscription and on-demand video library all under the same roof.

website build & user testing

Once the client had approved the initial design concepts and we had the booking & membership system in place we began uploading the on-demand video library creating various categories to make it as user friendly as possible and built the website to spec ensuring it was full responsive across all devices.

With the website build in place it was time start the user testing process and iron out any potential issues that may arise for bookings and memberships keeping members happy and able to use the website regularly with ease was the main focus.

Website launch

After final testing and amending any issues we found, it was time to launch the website timing it in with the launch of the new studio.

The feedback from the new booking system from customers was great and they loved the new on-demand features making the launch of the new website and fitness studio a huge success.

Fabi has done a brilliant job on taking over our website from our previous designer. It wasn’t easy as lots of obstacles occurred along the way, but Fabi was able to resolve everything, kept us in the loop and made sure our website was still running in the process. Highly recommended.
