the brief

Holmfirth Opticians approached us wanting to create an online presence for their Holmfirth based opticians, having recently gone through a name change and rebrand, they wanted to be easily found online and be shown above their competitors.
 
Originally going under the name of N Kaye Opticians and having built a great reputation over the previous 20+ years by word of mouth they wanted to target a younger client base who would be needing their services for many years to come and used search engines such as google to find local services.
 
The main focus of the website was to promote the companies lesser well known services that brought in the majority of the revenue and to get more calls and people walking through the doors.

Our Approach

Competitor & Keyword research

The first step was to identity the local competitors within the Huddersfield and Holmfirth areas and find the best keywords to target that would help them drive traffic and new customers to their website, we identified the specific services we wanted to target and created a list of most suitable keywords that would help us rank for our selected services.

Creating a specific page for the main target keywords & services we throughly researched the the topic and wrote a detailed and keyword rich service page for each working with the client and amending selected areas as required to the clients needs.

Wire framing & UX design

Using website prototyping software Adobe XD we began the wireframing and layout of the main sections working around the content we had created, working with the client every step of the way they requested a modern, sleek and minimal design and thats what we created.

website build & user testing

After having approved the initial design concepts we began the build of the website to the design specs ensuring it had a smooth user experience throughout and making it easily to navigate for the end user.

Making sure the website was SEO friendly with well organised title and keyword structure, using the title tags in all the images along with Schema markup to help search engines such as Google establish what the website was about and get easily found online for anyone searching for out chosen keywords.

Website launch

With the website build and SEO optimised, we created a Google Analytics account to track all future traffic and where the sources were coming from and registered the website with Google search console it was time to get the website live within 3 months the website started showing on the 1st page of Google in the local area for all of the selected ma in focus keywords we had chosen and continues to get lots of organic traffic from search engines.
